Die Gedenkstätte Bullenhuser Damm - Die Betreuer der Kinder (The Children´s Carers)

This plaque belongs to the exhibition in the memorial "Bullenhuser Damm". The symbolic suitcases in this part of the exhibition contain documents and photographs relating to the lives of Dutch prisoner nurses Anton Hölzel and Dirk Deutekorn as well as French prisoner doctors Gabriel Florence and René Quenouille. They had been imprisoned in the Neuengamme concentration camp for being active in the resistance and were assigned to care for the children at sickbay IVa.
