Koffer Marek James | Suitcase Marek James

Short biography from the exhibition of the Bullenhuser Damm Memorial. Marek James was born on 17 March 1939 in Poland. He lived with his parents Adam and Zela James in Radom. He and his parents were deported to Ausschwitz in summer 1944. On 28 November 1944 Marek was taken to the Neuengamme concentration camp. On 20 April 1945 Marek was murdered on Bullenhuser Damm aged 6.
