Koffer Marek Steinbaum | Suitcase Marek Steinbaum

Short biography from the exhibition of the Bullenhuser Damm Memorial. Marek Steinbaum (also spelled Szteinbaum) was born on 26 May 1937. His family owned a small leather factory in Radom, Poland. After being imprisoned in the Radom ghetto, the Steinbaums were deported to Auschwitz via the Pionki labour camp near Radom, probably in early October 1944.
